Nancy Smith
Bold brushstrokes. Vivid colours.
My art is a bold and colorful, capturing Alberta landscapes from my persepective rather than replicating nature's perfection.
Each stroke is infused with the memory of a place visited, a trail hiked, an experience shared with family and friends. I aim not to replicate nature's perfection, but to reinterpret it through my own perspective.
I started to paint during the pandemic, and have been mentored by great artists including Brian Buckrell, Caprice Hogg, Holly McWilliams, and Doug Swinton. I am a member of Mastrius painting community and mentorship.
Calgary Alberta is my home, and I love to explore the hiking and biking trails throughout Southern Alberta.
